Collecting your sample is easy!

Step by step instructions for when you’re ready to collect your sample
Step 1: Register your kit
Step 2: Setup the Fecal collection kit (visual to the right)
Peel the paper lining from the back side of the double sided tape
Align the stool catcher toward the back of your toilet bowl
It can be placed under the toilet lid
Go as normal into the catcher
Flush after recovering your sample
Step 3: Collecting the sample
Take a swab and collect a pea-sized sample ( we don’t need any more than that, and any less than that will result in a bad read of your microbes.
Submerge your sample into the liquid in the tube and gently wipe off the sample and remove the swab.
Do not include the swab in the tube
Close the lid of the tube and shake it for 30 seconds to disperse your sample in the solution. Shake until any big clumps are removed.
Seal the tube in the biohazard bag and return your sample in the mail using the prepaid envelope.
Step 4: Tips and Tricks
If your stool is loose it should be caught by the fecal catcher - you may need to use the second swab to transfer extra sample into the tube.
Do not overfill the tube. We only require a pea-sized sample. You may have to recollect if you overfill or underfill the tube.
