When you're ready to collect.
The whole process takes about five minutes. Read through once before you start so you know what's coming.
Register your kit
Activate your kit online before you collect — it links your sample to your account so we can send your report when results are ready.

- Peel the paper lining from the back of the double-sided tape.
- Align the stool catcher toward the back of your toilet bowl. It can sit under the toilet lid.
- Use the toilet as normal into the catcher.
- Flush after you've collected your sample.
Collect the sample
- Take a swab and collect a pea-sized sample. We don't need any more — and any less will result in a bad read.
- Submerge the swab into the liquid in the tube and gently wipe off the sample. Do not include the swab in the tube.
- Close the lid and shake the tube for 30 seconds, until any clumps disperse.
- Seal the tube in the biohazard bag and drop the prepaid envelope in any USPS mailbox.
Tips & troubleshooting
- If your stool is loose: the catcher will hold it. You may need to use the second swab to transfer extra into the tube.
- Don't overfill the tube. A pea-sized sample is the sweet spot. Too much or too little and you may need to recollect.
